1940 Buick Roadmaster

“It’s longer than a month of rainy days!” This rare beauty, a 1940 Buick sedan convertible, arrived at the museum today on long term loan from Linda Kernen of New Richmond, Wis.

Astute observers will recognize this car as a Brodhead regular, going back many decades. In fact, it’s featured in the downtown mural on the corner of 10th St. and 1st Center Avenue with Stan and Selma Knight in the front seat. Later, Bill and Sue Knight drove the car all around the area.

It will be right at home as a centerpiece in the Bill & Sue Knight Memorial Airplane & Automobile hangar at the Kelch Aviation Museum.
