This beautiful oak display cabinet was custom-built by Rick Hanson of Fox Lake, Illinois for the Kelch Aviation Museum. Delivered today from Rick’s shop, it will be the first thing you see when you enter the museum hangar once we open to the public, with an arched “Welcome to…” sign at the top.
The display cabinet was sketched out by Ami Eckard-Lee, our Collections Manager, and Rick built it to specifications, at no charge to the museum. His craftsmanship is stunning, just like it is on his 1929 Travel Air 4000, which is in the background. Thanks Rick, for making us look good!
