We’re pleased to welcome Ann-Marie Elmer as our newest board member for the Kelch Aviation Museum!
Ann-Marie grew up in Brodhead and has a longstanding connection to local aviation. Her father, Frank Gombar, was a founding member of Brodhead’s EAA Chapter 431, and both her parents were pilots. She recalls being one of the “airport brats” as a child, hanging around the hangars with the other aviation kids – “I enjoyed that time in my life immensely.”
“I’ve been following this project along since the beginning, and have been amazed at the progress the Kelch Museum is making,” she said. “I believe it is a hidden gem for our local community, and of great importance and interest to a much broader community.”
Her passion for community and her knowledge of aviation have shown up in all aspects of her life. As an adult, Ann-Marie spent a short time as a flight attendant before moving on to real estate. She now owns and operates both an appraisal business and a real estate business, Real Estate Connections, with her husband, Jerry. After moving back to Brodhead 20 years ago, she has been very active in the local community, and has been an avid supporter of the Museum.
We’re so excited to have her on our team!
