Our state-of-the-art archive facility welcomes donations of aviation related books, blueprints, artworks, and more, and we are delighted to accept aircraft donations as well.

EAA CHapter 431

Chapter 431 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is located right next door to us at Kelch, here on Brodhead Airport. A thriving local aviation hub, Chapter 431 hosts many annual events and projects. Learn more today!

Brodhead Airport

The Brodhead Airport, located in beautiful rural southern Wisconsin, is the Midwest's epicenter for vintage aviation. With more than 70 years of rich aviation history, three classic grass runways, and a flourishing community of expert aviators, folks come from worldwide to visit this magical, tiny airport.

About our museum:

We are open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Admission is free. Larger groups requesting a guided tour should call for an appointment.

Based around the stunning vintage aircraft that our namesake Alfred Kelch collected, our museum brings the story of the Golden Age of Aviation to life. The aviation legacy of the years between the World Wars changed the course of history, and at Kelch Aviation Museum we keep that legacy alive through education, preservation, and good old barnstormer-style pizazz.

Our collection includes 19 vintage aircraft, 3 vintage automobiles, 10,000 aviation books, 12 original aircraft engines, cabinets of photo collections, and dozens of models, works of art, and one-of-a-kind treasures! Whether you’re a Snoopy-and-the-Red-Baron fan or a researcher sleuthing out original aircraft blueprints, we have something to fascinate you!

The Alfred & Lois Kelch Aviation Museum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational corporation and donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
