The Movie:
The Wind Rises (2013) tells the story of real-life engineer Jirô Horikoshi, the man who invented the Mitsubishi A6M Zero. Stunningly animated by acclaimed filmmaker Hiyao Miyazaki, this breathtaking movie proves that cartoons are not just for kids – they can be real art.
Forced to abandon his childhood dream to become a pilot, Jiro pursues a career as an aeronautical engineer instead.
