The Movie:

Only Angels have Wings (1939): Directed by classic filmmaker Howard Hawks, this early nail-biter tells the story of the manager of an air freight company (Cary Grant) in a remote South American port town, who is forced to risk his pilots’ lives while vying for a major contract. This was also Rita Hayworth’s first significant acting role in a movie.
