Rose Parrakeet

We are thrilled to announce that Larry Steenstry of Elkhorn, Wisconsin has donated his original homebuilt Rose Parrakeet to the Kelch Aviation Museum. Based on the 1929 design, Larry built the ship in 1996 and has won numerous award at midwestern fly-ins over the years.

Always the brave barnstormer, Larry flew the Parrakeet to Brodhead Airport March 8 in below freezing temperatures. It will now live permanently at the museum.

Don’t forget to donate today to our winter fund drive. If we hit $3,000 by Saturday night, we’ll show our infamous blooper reel.https://www.kelchmuseum.org/contribute/
