The Kelch Aviation Museum has received a beautiful (fully drivable) 1931 Ford Model A coupe in a donation from Ms. Barbara Arnold, in memory of her late husband, Stephen L. Arnold.
Barbara and Steve acquired the Model A 2001 and toured extensively in it – “it’s a driver, not a show car!” said Barbara. Longtime Wisconsin residents, Steve & Barbara were members of the Wisconsin Model A Club. A civil engineer and general aviation pilot, Steve enjoyed collecting all kinds of artifacts and new skills throughout his life. Together, the Arnold couple flew as crew members of the MATS “Connie” Lockheed Constellation on its delivery flight to Korea in 2005!
Barbara had the brilliant idea for the museum to start a Model A Driving School, offering hands-on opportunities to connect with history. Plans are in the works – stay tuned!
The Kelch Aviation Museum is honored to be the forever home for so many historic treasures such as the Arnolds’ Ford Model A – and to keep them “living” and driving. We are here because of people like YOU! Thank you!
