Moving Airplanes
We’re moving airplanes this week! The Rose Parrakeet had her wings removed to fit through the door to the new Atrium, where it will soon hang from the ceiling.
There’s music in the air!
“There’s music in the air!” Back in 1931, eight musically-inclined Boeing pilots formed The Boeing Band and played concerts at the Boeing Field airport. There’s no record of them playing IN the air, however…. We’ll have live music at the Kelch Aviation Museum this Sunday, December 10th, for our Vintage
The New Atrium
Our Phase III Welcome Atrium is *almost* finished…we received our occupancy permit today! Lots of work yet to build out displays, move furniture and cabinets that we’ve been collecting, and hang some airplanes from the ceiling. We can’t wait to show it off to everyone. Isn’t it cool?!
Taildragger Tuesday
Taildragger Tuesday! Here’s the museum’s 1940 Welch OW8M, a replica built by Al Kelch and his fabled “Tuesday Night Crew” at a top secret location in southeastern Wisconsin.
New Electric Vehicle Charger
Museum volunteer Nick was the first to use our new Electric Vehicle “EV” charging station this week. A generous donor provided the EV equipment and its now available to museum visitors for a small donation.

October Construction Update
It’s been a while since we posted a construction update. The Phase III “Welcome Atrium” is nearly finished and we expect to start building displays and hanging airplanes soon. We can’t wait to show it to everyone!
